It could seem a strange choice to review a magazine approaching ten years old, however this may be located on my shelf getting dusty, so when it's the only Grisham book I have not read, I made a decision to use it as i waited for that new Lee Child to be sold. I'm glad Used to do. - Bronx DUI LAWYER
It tells the story of Michael Brock, Corporate Lawyer earning a lot of money, pretty wife, fast lane to partner status and millionairedom. It is all totally rosy until a strange incident occurs. A vagrant, a street dweller hijacks the lawyers in their tower-block office and before he is able to explain his demands, special-forces blow him away. The vagrant's brains are splashed over Brock's face. It changes his outlook on life, but it could.
He begins to take a desire for the homeless, he resigns his cushy job and big bucks, loses his wife, and represents pro bono unpaid legal work with behalf of the street people, and that is where it starts of his journey.
This book concentrates attention on homeless folks American inner cities. Whether their plight has greatly changed inside the intervening a decade We have no idea, but my prediction is things haven't altered that much.
Remember with Mister Grisham's books the narrative rushes along. I was never influenced to duck any pages which is much too obvious why he has shifted so many copies of his books through the years. I liked that one a great deal. It had been thought provoking, retained my attention throughout, and though I sort of guessed the ending long before I actually arrived there, I had been never disappointed.
If you'd prefer Grisham, you'll similar to this. Unless you like Grisham you'll likely still want it. Definitely recommended.
Coincidentally this time John Grisham was in London to gather a very long time achievement award for among other things, selling over 250 million books. Incredibly he stated he'd never won an award before. Perhaps writers should be more valued by us all, and feted too. - Bronx DUI LAWYER
